Having been a civil rights and human rights leader for nearly 30 years, Shaun has dedicated his entire life to fighting against injustice and oppression – no matter where it is – if it’s fighting against police brutality in the United States or fighting against the horrific genocide and Apartheid of the Palestinian people.

As a published journalist, Shaun wrote over 1,500 articles on injustice as the longtime Senior Justice Writer and investigative reporter at the New York Daily News and The Intercept. His daily news podcast, The Breakdown with Shaun King, has been heard around the world for the past 6 years.
As an award winning speaker and teacher, Shaun has traveled and spoken in 47 American states, on over 200 college campuses, as well as in jails, prisons, and corporate boardrooms around the world. Shaun is actually a trained historian with undergraduate and graduate degrees in history – focusing on revolutionary movements for change.
Before any of this, Shaun was a high school history and civics teacher for years. One of the most successful grassroots fundraisers in the world, Mr. King is beloved for using social media to raise money for families and organizations in need.
Recently banned from Instagram by the Meta Corporation for his outspoken support of Palestine, Shaun is getting back to his passion for traveling and speaking directly to the people. A married father of five, Mr. King lives and operates out of Brooklyn, New York.
